On April 27 in an atmosphere of respect for the natural surroundings
and the culturak herltage of thw area, renovatlon work degan on 6
traditional houses originally at the end of 1760.

Ecology was an important factor. Stones from falllen down byildings
from the past century were used. Wood, windows and doors from the
remnants were restored and used as well as ecological paint. During
the same period the renovation work was started to enlarge the
complex with 19 new independent apartments in a extent 3000m2.

Workers specialized in the traditional art of stone byilding were
recrulted. Their specialties: stone masonry, iron handcraft, the well
known French professor of architecture Pierre Demarchy and Eleana
Ekonomidi, a srecialist in interior architecture.

Stone works of art, inspired from the surrounding scenery
complementing it, and at the same time offering all the modern
comforts that one can ask for.

The most successful example of restoration of the
traditional houses in Papigo. A perfect ballance between
traditional and modern.

It has 23 apartments of different sizes and a wonderful
yar with an astonishing view of Gamila mountain peak.
